Number of Visits: The
total number of separate visits to the site
per month. From the figures above you can see that
approximately 75% of Expat Finland visitors are return
visitors.
Pages Viewed: The total
amount of pages opened by visitors.
Ad Impressions: The total
amount of pages containing advertisements opened by visitors.
Hits: Statistics for
'hits' have been intentionally omitted. 'Hits' refer to the total
number of files downloaded (ex. visiting a page with 20 images counts as 21 'hits'-
the page file plus the 20 image files. 10 visits to the page count as 210 'hits').
Claims such as "250 000 hits a day!!" do NOT reflect the amount of people using the site.
Origin of Expat Finland Visitors
- Direct (typed in) links are rising, partly in response to the increasing number of people subscribing to the Expat Finland Newsletter. 'Word of mouth' is also a contributing factor.
- As rankings rise, Expat Finland's prominence creates greater traffic from search engines.
- Awareness of Expat Finland's value as a resource has prompted an increasing number of sites to link to www.expat-finland.com
