Finnish accounting firms are not
legally authorised to perform both accounting and audits
for the same business; auditing is conducted separately.
The accounting firm handles the bookkeeping and compiles
financial statements, then hands them over to independent
auditors who are not allowed to work in the same
firm.
It can be difficult for a non-Finnish speaker
to find an accountant in Finland unless they are prepared
to engage a big-name (and big-budget) company. The accountants
listed on this page are not recommended by Expat Finland;
they are listed because:
a) they have sites in English and other languages, and
b) they are members of the Association
of Finnish Accounting Firms.
These firms generally provide accountancy
services, financial counselling, auditing services and advice
on tax and legal matters.
