Hi!
For any newcomers to the country, recent additions to the Expat Finland site include info on getting yourself eneterd into the Population Register (a requirement for all who intend to stay) and a Social Security section, which includes a downloadable application for a KELA (social security) card.
Click "Go to Site" at top right of screen...
