As described below, Expat Finland collects data about site usage. It does not collect any data which could be used to identify an Expat Finland visitor, and does not engage in personalised advertising.
General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR
The European Union GDPR came into force on 25 May 2018. It addresses personal data and privacy issues for people within the European Union, giving them greater control over personal data. Under the GDPR, websites which collect personal data must obtain specific consent from site visitors to do so. These websites must also allow people access to their personal data, and the right to request erasure of personal data.
Expat Finland does not collect or store personal data, cannot identify site visitors, and does not engage in email marketing or personalised advertising. Therefore Expat Finland does not request consent for data collection from site visitors. Please contact Expat Finland if you have queries.

Confidentiality of communications
Any personal information supplied to Expat Finland by telephone, email or the Contact form is known only to Expat Finland and will in no circumstance be disclosed, given or sold to, or traded with any third party, unless required to do so by law.
If Expat Finland discovers criminal or fraudulent activity on the part of a business, communications with that business may be disclosed.
Google Analytics cookies
Expat Finland uses Google, Inc.'s Google Analytics service. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer to help analyse how visitors use the Expat Finland site. The information from the cookies is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers. Google uses the information to evaluate use of the Expat Finland site and compile reports on site activity (ex. number of visitors to each page) for the Expat Finland site operator, and provide other services relating to site activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer the information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf.
