Finland is often thought of as a forbidding yet beautiful land of perpetual snow and ice, but during the short months of summer the sun hardly sets and Finland puts on a very different show.
These photos were taken during four hours at Lake Vuotava, shortly after midsummer. The sun set for an hour or so and the moon put in a brief appearance. As the sun rose again, mist came off the lake creating a truly magical atmosphere...
