Finnish Real Estate Terms & Abbreviations in English

This page will help you understand the terminology and abbreviations used in Finnish property advertisements, whether for rental or sale.

NOTE regarding "bedrooms"
In Finnish advertisements you will see, for example, "2h". This does not mean "2 bedrooms" as it would in many countries; it means 2 rooms (typically a bedroom and a living area). Apartments described as "1h" are usually what English speakers describe as studio apartments.
Example: "3h + k, kph" means "2 bedrooms, living/dining room, + kitchen, bathroom".
